Padgett Productions owner and operator Josh Padgett was formally trained as an actor at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. After spending four years on the stage working as an actor in the City, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked for the entertainment TV news show Extra, learning the ins and outs of TV production. While living in L.A. he also became the host of Maria Menounous’ Afterbuzztv network flagship show. Josh has been part of numerous major productions such as music videos, television shows and films, both as an actor and as part of the production team.
He brings his acting, hosting and production skills to Padgett Productions to help fill a need of government entities and organizations that want to complement their information outreach efforts with video content.
After working in a major campaign for a bond referendum in the Miami-Dade County city of Homestead, FL, where he produced all video content, including informational videos in both English and Spanish, sit down interviews and commercials for cable television, he founded Padgett Productions to continue helping government entities reach their constituents. Since then, he has created a variety of original video content for public access channels and online venues for government entities and organizations including news shows, interviews, event promos, how-to videos, and specialty content that help highlight government services and accomplishments.
He also has extensive experience as a host and MC of official government functions in the municipal, state and federal level. His MC experience includes large concerts, galas, fundraising events, military and police ceremonies, and fairs. He currently resides in both Miami and Richmond and travels to clients or works remotely editing and producing content from his studio.
